Foreman | Sydney

The role:
This is a hands-on foreman role for a residential landscape construction company. You’ll be responsible for running projects valued between $50,000 and $400,000, ensuring everything runs smoothly while also being hands-on when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage a crew of 2-5 full-time workers plus subcontractors.
– Be a skilled tradesperson yourself, leading by example.
– Oversee all aspects of the project, from excavation to completion (concreting, retaining walls, paving, decking, planter boxes etc).
– Track project budget and ensure everything is logged accurately.
– Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the project.

Compensation and Benefits:

– Base salary starts at $85,000 per year (plus superannuation).
– Performance-based profit sharing program (average $12,000 annually, with potential for higher bonuses on successful projects).
– Company vehicle allowance and fuel allowance (no company vehicles currently available, but you can use your ute/van and get reimbursed).

Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a foreman (experience training new tradesmen is a plus).
– Qualified carpenter or landscaper.
– Strong track record of managing budgets and timelines.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team.
