Project Manager | Shopfitting & Fit-Outs | Brisbane

Our client, an innovative and growing shopfitting and commercial fit-out company, is seeking an experienced and passionate Project Manager to lead their Brisbane-based team. Specialising in custom fit-outs across retail, hospitality, and commercial sectors, our client has built a reputation over more than 20 years as a trusted provider of high-quality, budget-friendly solutions for brands of all sizes. With a comprehensive in-house capability that includes joinery and metalwork, they’re able to deliver on a wide range of project needs.

As they expand their Queensland client base, they are looking for a dynamic Project Manager who can make an immediate impact, someone with the drive to establish and nurture new client relationships, a strong professional presence in Brisbane, and ideally, connections in the shopping centre and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, suppliers, and contractors, helping to expand the Brisbane office’s footprint.
  • Lead the Brisbane team, coordinating with the factory and site staff to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage all stages of projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Promote and maintain OH&S compliance across all project sites.
  • Engage in business development activities to source new project opportunities within the Queensland market.
  • Work closely with the admin team to manage POs, site schedules, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits and liaise directly with clients to maintain project momentum and satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or commercial fit-out project management, ideally within shopfitting.
  • Strong client relationship and networking skills, with an existing network in Brisbane being a significant asset.
  • Proven experience with project estimating, budgeting, and scope management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to Australian Building Standards.
  • Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to work effectively with site and office teams.
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently, with at least 3 days a week based in the Brisbane office.

Benefits & Remuneration:

  • Salary: $120k – $150k plus super, fuel card, company credit card, and e-tag.
