About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and expanding the client base. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from business development to project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support company growth.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing effective strategies to secure new projects.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including estimating and project management, to ensure smooth handover processes.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new opportunities.
• Representing the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Preparing detailed reports and updates for the management team on business development activities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within the construction or building industry.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster trust and credibility with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive and results-driven approach to securing new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities to balance multiple priorities.
• A good understanding of the construction or building industry (desirable but not essential).
• A positive and professional attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
