Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Project Estimator to play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of their projects.. In this position, you will work closely with various stakeholders to accurately estimate costs and timelines for water and sewage construction projects, while adhering to Sydney Water regulations and industry best practices.
The role:
- Conduct detailed reviews of project proposals and specifications to develop accurate cost estimations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
- Utilise Sydney Water regulations and standards to ensure compliance in project estimations.
- Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for project materials and equipment.
- Analyse project risks and uncertainties to develop contingency plans and mitigate potential issues.
- Work closely with project managers to develop comprehensive project budgets and timelines.
- Provide support during the tender process by preparing and presenting cost estimates to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of project estimates, budgets, and expenditures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve estimating processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in construction technology.
What you need:
- Experience in estimating water and sewage construction projects, with Sydney Water accredited provider company experience.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office suite.
- Strong understanding of Sydney Water regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
