We’re working with a national construction and maintenance business that looks after a large network of retail and commercial sites across NSW. They’re after a licensed electrician to join their Sydney team, with a solid pipeline of work running well into 2027.
The role is a mix of maintenance and project work. Some days you’ll be chasing down a fault, other days you’ll be installing EV chargers or upgrading a switchboard. Most sites are open and trading while you work, so being calm and clear with site staff and the public goes a long way.
What you’ll be doing
- Planned maintenance, plus reactive and breakdown call outs
- Fault finding on control circuits, light and power and equipment
- Installing EV charging systems, including DC fast chargers
- Switchboard upgrades, audits and site surveys
- Installing, repairing and commissioning fuel systems, above and below ground
- Lighting, signage power and energy efficiency upgrades
- Some civil work for EV sites, like conduit, pits and footings
- Test results, Certificates of Compliance and close out paperwork on a laptop
What you’ll need
- Licensed electrician with a NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate (or interstate equivalent)
- 2+ years post trade in maintenance and/or installation
- Strong fault finding skills
- Construction White Card
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Happy to travel for regional jobs, usually no more than two weeks at a time
Hazardous area, EV charger or service station experience is a bonus. So are EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Test and Tag, or an MR/HR licence.
What’s in it for you
- Competitive rate, with regular overtime paid at penalty rates
- Call outs paid at double time
- Take home ute, fuel card and eTag
- Phone allowance and iPad
- RDOs, and you choose when to take them
- Living away allowance and accommodation paid on regional work
- Training in hazardous area and EV competencies
- Full time, permanent, immediate start
