About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter with a strong eye for detail and a passion for high-quality finishes to join their team. This role involves hands-on carpentry/remedial work as well as overseeing a variety of remedial projects. You will be working on projects involving façade repairs, waterproofing, cavity flashing, and crack remediation.
This position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and transition into a semi-project management role, with the opportunity to further develop your skills while working closely with the director and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage remedial construction works, including façade repairs, waterproofing, cavity flashing, and crack repairs.
- Ensure quality workmanship and attention to detail across all projects.
- Liaise with clients to provide regular updates on project progress and manage expectations.
- Assist with the organisation of job files, pricing, and project coordination – one day per week in the office.
- Collaborate closely with the director to ensure project milestones are met and client satisfaction is maintained.
- Oversee and coordinate site activities, ensuring safety and compliance standards are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential building/carpentry.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality finishes.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Ability to manage projects, problem-solve, and work autonomously.
- Previous experience with residential remedial building is highly desirable.
- A proactive and organised approach to both site and office responsibilities.
