Head of Design | Signage | Brisbane

Our client, a leading signage manufacturer, is seeking a Head of Design to lead their design and engineering function. This role bridges concept and fabrication, ensuring every project is visually striking and production-ready.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small design team across CAD, artwork prep, and fabrication integration
• Oversee design from concept sketches through to detailed shop drawings and installation documentation
• Collaborate with sales, production, and install teams to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective solutions
• Ensure all designs meet safety, structural, and fabrication standards
• Drive process improvement, material innovation, and sustainable design practices

About you:

• 5+ years’ experience in signage manufacturing, architectural fabrication, or industrial design
• Proficient in AutoCAD, CorelDraw, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Confident leading a team and managing multiple design projects
• Strong technical knowledge of materials, fabrication, and illumination systems
