Workshop in Perth
Our client, a well-established fabrication company in Perth, is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join their team. With over a decade of experience serving the mining and solar sectors, the company offers a calm, supportive work environment with a supportive management team.
Role Overview: As the Leading Hand, you will supervise a team of boilermakers and welders, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and acting as the right hand to the Workshop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of full-time and temporary boilermakers and welders (4-8 workers)
- Oversee workflow, inspect and release work, and maintain quality checks
- Interpret technical drawings and welding standards
- Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations
- Collaborate closely with the Workshop Manager and Quality Inspectors
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of boiler making and welding experience
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and welding standards
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to make independent decisions
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Work Environment:
- Join a 35-person company across fabrication, electrical, and supply departments
- Location: Workshop based in Perth, no travel required
- Calm and supportive company culture
Hours and Compensation:
- Standard hours: 6 AM to 4 PM – Monday to Friday
- Pay: $55–$60 per hour + superannuation (negotiable based on experience)
