About the role
Our client is a leading signage and graphics business searching for a motivated Machine Operative. If you’ve worked in manufacturing, packaging or a related industry and have strong mechanical aptitude, this could be the perfect step up. Full training will be provided to develop your skills on-site.
Key responsibilities
• Load and operate CNC routers, vinyl cutters and finishing machinery
• Monitor machine performance, perform quality checks and make basic adjustments
• Handle raw materials and finished pieces safely, ensuring correct feeds and speeds
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning and minor troubleshooting
• Read job tickets and work instructions to meet production schedules
• Collaborate with print, design and installation teams to maintain efficient workflow
Requirements
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (signage, packaging, timber, metal fabrication or similar)
• Good hand–eye coordination and mechanical problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new machinery and processes through hands-on training
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output
• Ability to work weekends or overtime during peak periods as needed
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow safe work practices
