About the Role
As a Building Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing major and complex loss construction projects from start to finish. This role will involve managing multiple jobs, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage the end-to-end process for major and complex insurance repair projects.
• Prepare detailed and accurate scopes of work, budgets, and competitive quotes.
• Schedule and coordinate construction repairs, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
• Engage and manage trades, suppliers, and specialist contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, WHS legislation, and company safety processes.
• Provide regular updates on project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, and clients.
• Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshooting as needed to minimise project delays.
• Use construction scheduling software to track progress and meet KPIs.
• Contribute to onboarding and mentoring team members when required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid builder’s registration or site supervisor licence specific to the state or territory you are applying for (e.g., QBCC in Queensland, VBA in Victoria, WA Building Practitioner Registration, or ACT Builder’s Licence).
• Comprehensive understanding of local building regulations and safety standards.
• Proven experience managing major and complex loss insurance repair projects.
• Trade qualifications or a degree in Construction Management/Building and Construction (preferred).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in construction scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A customer-focused attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional service.
• A valid driver’s licence.
